EVALUATIONS

EVALUATION: TERM 1

Term 1 was a great way of starting off the year, we did a lot of work and learnt a lot during this term. We did the book merchant of Venice which taught us valuable lessons and how to live your life correctly. This was a great term for me and I wish next term could teach me such valuable lessons. In the beginning of this term we decided that we all want to be thinkers and not be lazy anymore.

EVALUATION: TERM 2

In this term we completed the merchant of Venice and began the novel cry the beloved country which taught us morals and values. It opened our mind to the history of this beautiful country and the people who suffered during apartheid.

EVALUATION: COLLAGE AND SHANTY TOWN MODLE

During these tasks we learnt how to work in groups and interact with other people from our class. When making the model of shanty town we learnt how people struggled during the period of apartheid and how they lived compared to the white people who thought they were superior.

EVALUATION: AUDIO ASSGNMENT

While doing this assignment we learnt how to act as a radio spokesman and we had a brief summary of the book the merchant of Venice on this audio assignment.

EVALUATION: VAAL HEARINGS

By doing this interview with an apartheid activist I understand how people felt during the apartheid era and why they did such things which might look crazy to us now but at that time it was the correct thing to do because the government was been irrational and unfair to non-white people.

MY BEST FRIEND

MY NAME IS ZAFAR NATHIE AND I AM ABOUT TO TELL YOU THE STORY OF MY LIFE AND WHAT FRIENDS WILL DO FOR EACH OTHER, NO MATTER HOW HARD IT IS FOR THEM.

MY BEST FRIEND RAEEZ AMOD HAD A PROBLEM WITH MONEY AND CAME TO ME, NOT KNOWING THAT I TO WAS BROKE.HE NEEDED A SUM OF MONEY TO SETTLE SOME DEBTS AND TO BE A SUITOR TO THE BEAUIFUL LAILA, DAUGHTER OF THE COUNT OF MONTI CHRISTO. I KNEW HE WAS LONGING FOR HER, AND I COULD NOT LET HIM DOWN FOR HE WAS MY FRIEND AND FRIENDS ARE THERE TO HELP EACH OTHER.

SO I TOLD HIM THAT I WONT LET HIM DOWN. I HAD ONLY ONE OPTION, AND IT WAS TO GO TAKE A LOAN FROM THE GREATEST MAFIA OF THE TIME AND THE ONLY PERSON WHO WILL GIVE ME A LOAN OF ONE MILLION DUCATS, HIS NAME WAS LORENZO AL PADRINO. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT I HAD TO PAY IT BACK IN THREE MONTHS.

I GAVE THE MONEY TO MY FRIEND AND TOLD HIM TO GO GET MARIED TO HER, HE GOT MARIED AND MOVED ON WITH HIS LIFE. HE FORGOT ABOUT ME AND MOVED TO A DIFFERENT COUNTRY. IN THE MEAN WHILE I WAS TRYING TO COLLECT AS MUCH MONEY AS I COULD, BECAUSE IF THEY CAME AND I HAD NO MONEY, I WOULD BE KILLED! THE MAFIA HAD WORKED IN A LAW OF HIS OWN, IF YOU DON’T PAY UP YOU WILL DIE. SO I COLLECTED AS MUCH MONEY AS I COULD AND BY THE TIME THREE MONTHS WERE UP, I DIDN’T EVEN COLLECT ONE EIGHT OF THE AMMOUNT.

LORENZO CAME WITH HIS GOONZ TO MY HOUSE AND SHOT ME IN THE KNEE. I NOW HAD THREE DAYS TO MAKE UP THE MONEY, BUT I DID JUSTICE WITH THOSE THREE DAYS AND BY THE TIME HE CAME BACK TO MY HOUSE, BUT I HAD VANISHED. HE TRIED TO LOOK FOR ME ALL OVER THE WORLD AND FINALY FOUND THE PLACE WHERE I WAS STAYING, I WAS IN PERTH, AUSTRALIA. BY THE TIME THEY REACHED AUSTRALIA I WAS IN LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND. ALL THE MONEY I HAD COLLECTED TO PAY THE DEBT WAS NOW USED TO KEEP ME ALIVE. I WAS SKIPPING COUNTRIES AND FINALLY LANDED UP AT HOME.

AT THIS POINT AND TIME I WAS WORKING AND SAVING UP TO RUN AGAIN. I WAS LIVING SECRETELY AND WAS ON THE LOOK OUT AND WATCHED MY BACK 24/7. WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO RUN, THEY CAUGHT ME. THEY HAD ME AND PUT A GUN TO MY HEAD, SAYING THAT IF I DIDN’T GIVE THEM THE MONEY THEY WILL KILL ME! I TOLD THEM THAT I WILL HAVE THE MONEY THE NEXT DAY, BUT THEY REFUSED. AS THEY WERE ABOUT TO PULL TRHE TRIGGER, SOMEONE KNOCKED AT THE DOOR AND ENTERED…………..

IT WAS RAEEZ, WITH THE MONEY HE OWED ME. I WAS SO SHOCKED TO SEE HIMAND I FINALLY REALISED THAT FRIENDSHIP IS THE BEST THING ANYONE CAN HAVE AND THAT YOU CAN ALWAYS RELY ON FRIENDS, NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE.

THE END
